Quality
I make each piece by hand from start to finish and sign or stamp them on the base when they are completed. Pieces have their own character, no two pieces are identical, that is very important to me. I enjoy imperfections, sometimes I will use materials that will burn away in the firing process to leave a void or mark. For me this brings a humility to the piece and the experience of using the piece is more satisfying because of this. These things are intentional. In cases where they are not I will call the piece a ‘second’ and those pieces will be sold from time to time in person and not in the online store.
